About Me
PhD Researcher · ML Engineer · Founder
PhD Researcher · ML Engineer · Founder
I am a Machine Learning Engineer and PhD candidate at Maynooth University, Ireland, specialising in real-time audio processing, ensemble prediction, and low-latency algorithm design. My work bridges the gap between academic research and production-ready systems — I don't just build models that work in notebooks; I build systems that work in the real world.
I am bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, and I bring a cross-cultural perspective shaped by living and working across three continents.

B.A. Psychology — University of California, Davis
Minor in Economics. Developed strong foundations in research methodology, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
Beyond Research
When I'm not building ML systems or writing research papers, I'm a badminton fan — you'll often find me in badminton clubs in Dublin. I'm passionate about music (which inspired both my PhD and my company), and I enjoy exploring how technology can make high-quality music education accessible to everyone.
Having lived in Singapore, the United States, and Ireland, I value the perspectives that come from working across different cultures and disciplines. My unusual path from psychology to computer science gives me a strong appreciation for human-centred design in technical systems.
